Collar clasp - Peaches – (8871)

Collar clasp made of jadeite (Fei Tsui). It was made during the Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1912) and is decorated with Peaches which symbolize the wish for a long life. Its finish is not as fine as the collar clasps which were made during the Ming Dynasty. Jadeite from Burma became only available in China during the Qing period and this one dates from the latter part of that time.
