Wooden shoebox which was used to store a man’s boots. The elegant and light box is made of thin planks which are curved. Two brass bands keep the structure together. A handle at each side makes lifting easy. The lid on the top can be removed to allow easy access. The box which has been cleaned and re-varnished, dates from the Qing period (1644 – 1912).
