Collar clasp - Butterfly – (4939)
[4939]

Jade collar clasp which was used to close the high collar of a ladies dress. It is shaped like a Butterfly which is a symbol of Blessings & Happiness. The Swastika’s on the wings symbolize Good Luck and all the Happiness that one desires. The workmanship on the clasp is a little less refined than most of the other clasps in the Lowlands-collection and it is very well possible that it was made in the early Qing dynasty (1644 – 1912).
