Small red lacquered bamboo loom on which fine ribbons were woven. The original shuttle has also survived. The ribbons were used as adornment on lotus shoes, purses etc. Most of the items such as these did not survive the test of time and it is rare to find a pair nowadays. The set dates from the end of the Qing period (1644 – 1912). Size of the loom: Width 12.2 cm. Height 13.9 cm. Thickness 1 cm.
