Red lacquered wooden spool decorated with a bat (Blessings & Good luck) on one side and a branch of orchids on the other. The orchids stand for ‘Beauty and Love’. The spool dates from the late Qing period (1644 – 1912). Length 16.8 cm. Width 4.1 cm. Thickness 1,3 cm.
