Pair of boys' shoes embroidered with butterflies which are synonymous with ‘Joy, Longevity and Marital Bliss’. The shoes were worn but are still in good shape. They date from the late Qing period (1644 – 1912). Length 17 cm. Width 6 cm. Height 6 cm.
