The front of this belt hook is decorated by 'comma-scrolls'. This type of belt hook was common during the early Ming dynasty (1368 - 1644). It shows considerable age as a result of surface alteration. The hook was acquired in Hong Kong in 1986. Length 11.4 cm. Width 1.9 cm. Depth 1.6 cm. Weight 36.5 grams.
