Amulet with the Eight Trigrams - (8835)

Octagonal silver amulet engraved on one side with the Eight Trigrams (Pa Kua or Ba Gua) and with the characters ‘Chang Ming Fu Gui’ (长命富贵) meaning ‘Longevity, Wealth and Honor’ on the other side. For an explanation of the ‘Ba Gua’ see Quick Find 4139. The amulet dates from the end of the Qing period (1644 – 1912) or early Republic period (1912 -1947). Height and width 4.0 cm. Depth 0.1 cm.
