Single solid silver bangle for a child. It is decorated with stylized cymbidium (lan) and osmanthus (guihua) flowers which creates the saying ‘May your descendants become famous’ (langui qifang, langui tengfang, guizi lansun). The bangle is hallmarked on the inside with the name Meng Ju Bao (孟聚寳) which may be the name of the silversmith or the retailer. It is slightly rubbed as a result of having been worn frequently and dates from the Republic period (1912 – 1947). Outside diameter ca 4.5 cm. Height 0.7 cm. Depth 0.2 cm.
