Silver grooming set decorated with a large enameled butterfly (Blessings & Happiness) and partly enameled tweezers. The back side of the tweezers is engraved with plum flowers. A plum flower has five petals which symbolize the Five Blessings, Old age, Good Health, Wealth, Love of Virtue and a Peaceful death. The other two utensils are a toothpick and an ear scoop. The set dates from the early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Total length 39.5 cm. Size butterfly: Width 3.9 cm. height 2.5 cm. Depth 0.5 cm.
