Hairpin with peony – (1211)

Silver hairpin which is decorated at the top with a Peony blossom which symbolizes ‘Wealth & Honor’. It is marked Yuan Sheng (源盛) who may have been the silversmith or retailer. The hairpin has a nice old patina and dates from the Qing Dynasty (1644 – 1912). Length 16.5 cm. Width 3.1 cm.
