Silver hairpin decorated with a dragon flying through the clouds. The dragon brings rain and therefore symbolizes Fertility. Feelers with green glass beads project from its nostrils. Clouds represent the granting of all wishes. The hairpin dates from the late Qing (1644 – 1912) to the early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Length 16.7 cm. Height 3.0 cm. Width 0.5 cm.
