Very small gilt silver hairpin decorated with a flower as finial. Inset in the flower is a green stone which might be jadeite (Fei Tsui) but could also be glass. The gilding is rubbed. The hairpin dates from the end of the Qing (1644 – 1912) to the early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Length 4.3 cm. Width of the flower 1 cm.
