Pair of gilt silver hairpins decorated with a spray of Cymbidium blossoms which symbolize ‘Friendship & Grandchildren’. They are marked Bao Sheng (寳盛) who may have been the silversmith or retailer and date from the late Qing (1644 – 1912) to the early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Length 13 cm. Width 1 cm.
