The embossed ‘Love birds’ on this pair of gilt silver hairpins are depicted in great detail. They seem to like each other very much. The pair dates from the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 – 906). Length 9.8 cm and 11.5 respectively. Width at their widest point 3.4 and 3.2 cm.
