Well gilt silver hat emblem with the Three Star Gods, Fu, Lu & Shou. The three Gods or ‘Sanxing’ (三星) represent Prosperity (Fu), Status or Rank (Lu) and Longevity (Shou). Images of the Three Star Gods are commonly found in Chinese temples, in shops and in nearly every Chinese home. In this ornament Fu and Lu are depicted with small children and Shou holds a Peach of Longevity. They are surrounded by clouds which emphasize their divine status. This ornament is of a weighty quality and dates from the Qing Dynasty (1644 – 1912). Width 4.3 cm. Height 5.3 cm. Depth 1.8 cm.
