Silver hat ornament in the shape of one of the Eight Immortals. He has lost his attribute which could give him an identity (see Quick Find 7883). This amusing figure looks more like a clown with his eye-catching collar but he is clearly an Immortal as testified by the fact that he is standing on clouds. He dates from the late Qing (1644 – 1912) to the early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Height 4.9 cm. Width 2.3 cm. Depth 1.8 cm.
