Four ‘Wufu’ medallions and Shou Lao – (8203)

Four round silver hat medallions and the God of Longevity, Shou Lao. The medallions are decorated with Five bats around a Chinese character. The characters form the expression ‘Chang Ming Fu Gui’ (长命富贵) which means ‘Longevity and Prosperity’. The Five bats are called the Five Blessings (Wufu) which are Longevity, Health, Wealth, Virtue and death by natural causes. The hat medallions date from the late Qing (1644 – 1912) to the early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Diameter 2.7 cm. Height Shou Lao 3.7 cm
