Chrysanthemum, Peonies and bamboo – (9158)

Small silver lock decorated with a Chrysanthemum flower (Health) on one side and Peonies (Wealth and Honor) on the other. Bamboo (Peace) and a yet unidentified flower are depicted in the borders. The lock is hallmarked with the name Zhen Hua (珍華) who may have been the silversmith or the retailer. It dates from the late Qing (1644 – 1912) to the early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Width 2.2 cm. Height 1.4 cm. Depth 0.7 cm. Weight 3.8 grams.
