Pair of silver earrings decorated with a Plum flower. The small plaques which dangle from the rings are engraved with the head of a Ruyi scepter (Anything you wish for) and more Plum flowers. The five petals of a Plum blossom symbolize the Five Blessings, Old age, Health, Wealth, Love of Virtue and a Peaceful death. The earrings are marked He Xing (和興) who may have been the silversmith or the retailer and date from the late Qing period (1644 – 1912). Diameter 2.4 cm. Total length 5.7 cm.
