Netsuke in the shape of a whale. The amusing carving seems to smile. Its eyes are inlaid with a black material. The toggle was carved and signed by a Hong Kong carver called Songshan (松山) or Songzan. Length 3.8 cm. Width 2.6 cm. Height 3.9 cm.
