Camel licking its hump – (4619)

A camel kneels and bends its neck backwards to lick its hump. The details are very well carved and the eyes are inlaid with horn and have black pupils. We believe that the original of this carving was created by a Japanese artist called Bishu. This one is signed by a Chinese artist called Guai Tang (怪堂) and dates from the 1970’s. Height 5.1 cm. Width 3.9 cm. Depth 2.7 cm.
