Woman amidst lotus flowers - (1967)
[1967]

Carving of a dancing woman. This is one of the most stunning carvings in the Lowlands-collection and typical for the period of the Cultural Revolution (1966 - 1976). We believe, judging by her dress and hairdo, that this lady belongs to a minority. The lotus flowers which surround her are carved in incredible detail and the flowing lines of the scarf in her hands show the hand of a master carver. Size without stand: Height 20 cm. Width 10.5 cm. Depth 8.0 cm.
