Shoulao is the God of Longevity. He is recognizable by his oversized forehead which is a sign of wisdom and a long beard which stands for a long life. In this modern miniature object he is depicted with a Peach on his head and a Lingzhi Fungus in his hand, both symbols of Longevity themselves. The God of Longevity (Shou) is one of the Three Stargods (San Xing) together with the God of Wealth (Lu) and the God of Prosperity (Fu). This charming little item is very nicely made but not signed.
