Very cute pair of ‘embroidered’ baby’s shoes which without little doubt express the wish to have a son. The sides of the shoes are decorated with foliage while the point features a Butterfly which symbolizes Blessings and Happiness. Sons are very important in China as they carry on the family name. A daughter’s prime duty is to look after her in-laws while a son remains within the original family structure. Therefore, when the son marries, it is his responsibility to care for his parents.
