Rectangular bronze amulet with a text in Chinese characters on both sides. The texts are framed by a stylized cloud motive which symbolizes ‘The granting of all wishes’. We have not yet been able to figure out what the characters mean. The amulet which dates from the late Ming (1368 – 1644) to the early Qing dynasty (1644 – 1912) has a nice aged patina. Height 6 cm. Width 3.3 cm. Thickness 0.2 cm.
