Small and low cloisonné table decorated in blue with waves. The metal work has been gilded but most of it has gone. A red brown dragon dwells in each corner. Dragons are said to bring rain and therefore symbolize Fertility. The photos are somewhat distorted as a result of the camera angle but in reality the table is perfectly square. We have no idea what this table was used for. It is still in good condition and dates from the late Qing period (1644 – 1912). Length 47.5 cm. Width 28.5 cm. Height 8.5 cm.
