Small model of a retriever which is a type of dog that retrieves game for a hunter. Retrievers were bred primarily to retrieve birds or other prey. A well-trained retriever or ‘soft mouth’ distinguishes himself from other breeds of dogs by returning game to the hunter undamaged. This small model beautifully demonstrates a retriever in action.
