Made of a pure white material, this small carving depicts a boy standing with one foot on a dog while holding a Peach. A Boy represents a wish for male offspring and the Dog symbolizes Future Prosperity. The Peach embodies a wish for a long life. We have our doubts if this is jade. In fact we believe that it is made of another material such as agate or perhaps even milky white glass. It is so white that we have not been able to photograph the details. But it is hand-carved and we have not been able to find the typical shiny flakes or chips which would identify it as agate or glass. The carving dates from the end of the 20th century. Height 4 cm.
