Parasol rib ends – Winged dogs - Warring States period - (2887)

At first we though that these two bronze items were bow tips. Later we found out that they are in fact finials of parasol ribs. They are adorned with animals which resemble winged dogs and date from the Warring States (475BC – 221BC) or early Western Han period (206BC – 25AD). Length 3.2 cm. Width 1.3 cm. Depth ca 1 cm.
