Ferrule with bird decoration from the E. Zhou period -(2437)

Bronze ferrule which was originally attached to the lower part of a lance or halberd. It dates from the Eastern Zhou period (770 – 221BC). The ferrule is adorned by the figure of a bird. Length 16 cm.
