Four-decked flower brooch – (7880)
[7880]

Simple silver brooch set with an unusual four-decked flower. We have not seen the curled petals of the upper deck yet. In the centre is a green cabochon which we assume is made of glass but we are not sure. The brooch came from America and was most probably created in Hong Kong in the 1930’s. This type of flower is not depicted in professor Cheng Te-k’un’s book ‘Jade Flowers and Floral Patterns in Chinese Decorative Art ‘.
