Boldly decorated with a dragon holding the 'Flaming (sacred) Pearl', this napkin ring is an impressive object. We are not sure if it is Chinese or Japanese. We bought it as Chinese Export Silver but looking at the dragon-type, the ring could also be Japanese. The silver is not marked. It dates from around 1900 and was added to the collection in 2008. Height 3.3 cm. Diameter ca 4.5 cm. Weight 31.3 grams. The napkin ring went to a collection in Denmark.
