Green and amber glazed tomb guardian also known as 'Lokapala' dating from the Tang period (AD 618 - 907). His face and red hair are cold painted and he has a western (Perhaps Persian) face. He is wearing body armour and raises his right arm as if he is threatening someone. The guardian is standing on a bull. Height 42 cm. THIS ITEM WAS SOLD AT AUCTION IN 2022.
