We found this seal in 1974 in a Persian carpet store in Geneva. The Iranian storekeeper received it as a present from a Chinese supplier many years before. What a strange place to find a jade seal. The jade is white with brown streaks. The carving of the inscription is exquisite and reads 'Yu Sheng' as the name of the owner. It dates from the Qing dynasty (1644 - 1912). Height 4.4 cm. Width 1.9 cm. Depth 1.9 cm. Weight 46.2 grams.
