Cylindrical pin cushions were popular during the 19th century. Normally one of these mother-of-pearl ends would be fitted to each side of the pin cushion. It is machine-turned and was made in England during the 19th century. Because it is very tiny it most probably once belonged to s small girl. Diameter 2.1 cm. Thickness 0.11 cm.
