Bamboo amulet with four characters ‘Yi Fan Fen Sun’ which mean ‘A boat and smooth sailing’. It is highly probable that this amulet once belonged to a sailor. It dates from the Qing period (1644 – 1912). Length 5.2 cm. Diameter at the ends 1.7 cm. Diameter at the centre 1.2 cm. Weight 3.4 grams.
