Small whitish grey colored pebble. We believe that this piece of jade was mined in the mountains and smoothed in a tumbler to give it its almost shiny exterior. It entered the collection from Shanghai in 2019. The jade was probably found in the mountains near the city of Hetian (formerly known as Khotan) which lies in the southern part of the Uyghur Autonomous Region in China. Length 3.2 cm. Width 1.8 cm. Depth 1.3 cm. Weight 12.1 grams.
