During a visit to Hong Kong in 2026 we found this flower at an antiques dealer’s shop. It has a central hole and small holes drilled through two of its petals. An almost identical flower is depicted in the catalogue of the jade exhibition at the Art Gallery of the Institute of Chinese studies, Hong Kong in 1994. That exhibition featured the private collection of dr S. Y. Kwan (Guan Zhaoyi). This type of flower is however not depicted in professor Cheng Te-k’un’s book “Jade Flowers and Floral Patterns in Chinese Decorative Art”.
