Light blue enameled trinket box engraved with children playing. On the lid is a side-viewed flower which dates from the Ming period (1368 – 1644). The box however was made in China in the 1930’s and entered the Lowlands-collection from America. A similar type of flower (nr 269) is depicted in professor Cheng Te-k’un’s book ‘Jade Flowers and Floral Patterns in Chinese Decorative Art’.
