Rim of a vessel - (4802)

Two of these rings originally formed the rims of a vessel or pot made of a material which has deteriorated long ago. In the last photo is an example of such a vessel. The rim is cast in bronze and inlaid with geometric patterns in silver. We only have one rim in this pattern which dates from the Warring States period (475 – 221 BC). Diameter 22 cm. Height 3.2 cm.
